Once the means to attract attention of passing by buyer... Being flashy and attractive... Today almost not required.
Printed media is rare. Music and Games mostly sold digitally. Movies decided that best poster is someones mug all over poster or disk box. World didn't even notice there became less beauty and excitement in it.
Under this tag I am going to post impressive covers (in my opinion, of course) from the past. Hope you'll like it.
